शिव आरती भगवान शिव की स्तुति में गाया जाने वाला भजन है। सोमवार को शिव मंदिर में इसका विशेष गायन होता है। "ॐ जय शिव ओंकारा" के नाम से प्रसिद्ध यह आरती हर शिव भक्त के मन में बसती है।

Shiv Aarti is a devotional song sung in praise of Lord Shiva. It is specially sung in Shiva temples on Mondays. Known as "Om Jai Shiv Omkara", this aarti resides in the heart of every devotee of Shiva.

हंसासन गरुड़ासन वृषवाहन साजे॥

Hansasan Garudasan Vrishvahan Saje.

One-faced, four-faced and five-faced forms shine. Those seated on swan, eagle and bull are adorned.

दो भुज चार चतुर्भुज दस भुज अति सोहे।

त्रिगुण रूप निरखते त्रिभुवन जन मोहे॥

Trigun Roop Nirakhate Tribhuvan Jan Mohe.

Two-armed, four-armed and ten-armed forms are most beautiful. Beholding the three-natured form, the people of three worlds are enchanted.

अक्षमाला वनमाला मुण्डमाला धारी।

चंदन मृगमद सोहत भाले शशि धारी॥

Akshamala Vanmala Mundmala Dhari.

Chandan Mrigmad Sohat Bhale Shashi Dhari.

Wearing a rosary, forest garland and skull garland. Sandalwood and musk adorn the forehead bearing the moon.

श्वेताम्बर पीताम्बर बाघम्बर अंगे।

सनकादिक गरुणादिक भूतादिक संगे॥

Shvetambar Pitambar Baghambar Ange.

Sanakadik Garunadik Bhutadik Sange.

White, yellow and tiger-skin garments adorn the body. Sanaka, Garuda and the spirit beings accompany him.

कर मध्ये कमण्डलु चक्र त्रिशूल धर्ता।

जगकर्ता जगहर्ता जगपालन कर्ता॥

Kar Madhye Kamandalu Chakra Trishul Dharta.

Jagkarta Jagaharta Jagpalan Karta.

In the hands a water pot, disc and trident. Creator of the world, destroyer of the world, sustainer of the world.

ब्रह्मा विष्णु सदाशिव जानत अविवेका।

प्रणवाक्षर के मध्ये ये तीनों एका॥

Brahma Vishnu Sadashiv Janat Aviveka.

Pranavakshar Ke Madhye Ye Tinon Eka.

The ignorant think Brahma, Vishnu and Sadashiva are separate. Within the syllable Om, these three are one.
